Have you ever felt like there was just a piece missing in your life? Recently, Nancy and I worked several weeks on a 1500-piece puzzle, only to find one piece missing. Try as we might to find the missing piece (you may not be able to see it), it was nowhere to be found. There was disappointment because the picture wasn’t complete, yet relief that the project was finished. There was nothing else to do except to put the pieces back into the box.

Sometimes life gets like that. Circumstances happen in life that bring confusion or complications—leaving you wondering what just happened? Where did my joy go? Why am I not happy? Where do I go from here? For some reason or another, it just seems like a piece of your life’s puzzle is missing. You may have tried the Christian thing to some extent, but if you’re honest—you’ve taken a detour. We all do at one time or another…some minor…some severe and lasting several years. The greatest sense of fulfillment you can ever have is when you get to the point of calling out for God to fill the void in your life that He has reserved for Himself and left you looking for answers you cannot find.

A somewhat famous Bible verse says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God’s love is real, it’s ready, it’s refreshing, it’s restorative, it’s redemptive. Because God loves you so much, He made a way for us to get that peace back into our lives, by inviting that piece of the puzzle, which is Jesus Christ into our lives. It’s as simple as asking for God’s forgiveness of all that is not pleasing to him in your life and asking his Son, Jesus Christ to come into your life—inviting Him to have lordship and leadership, helping you live for Him every day of your life. My prayer is that today may be the day that you find the peace that comes from inviting God to have his rightful place in your life right now. Because He’s that missing piece.

God’s very best,
Marshall
